Requirements & Recommendation for MySQL

See here for a list or required/support platforms, note x86 = 32bit and x86-64 = 64bit architecture.

In order to use 64bit architecture both the operating system and cpu must support/be 64bit.

Currently no version later than MySQL 5.2 is recommended to be used with Aurora due to compatibility issues.
